Description Life Clock is a freeware screen effects module for Mac OS X. It displays how many minutes you have left to live and the current time.

Using your birthdate and gender, it calculates the statistical life expectancy for someone your age, based on data for 1999 from the National Center for Health Statistics. There is more info here and here. These data only apply to people up to 100 years old, so if you are older than 100, beware of extrapolation.

The original version of this program was written in 1994 as a holiday present for a hard-to-buy-for family member.

Instructions In the config box, enter your birthdate and gender. "Clock only" mode only shows a clock, "Life only" mode only shows how many minutes you have left, and "Normal" alternates between the two (the frequency of alternation is determined by the "Mode Alternation Delay" slider). The "Floating" switch determines whether the clock continuously floats around the screen or only jumps around occasionally.
